Welcome to the Springfield Church of Christ
                     Disciples Making Disciples. A Legacy for All.

We are a Christian church cradled in historical Springfield, Illinois and are surrounded by a rich
legacy and historical remembrances of Abraham Lincoln. However, we are committed to leaving
behind our own legacies as followers of one greater than Abraham Lincoln: Christ Jesus. Our goal is
simply this: to commit ourselves to participating in the history and legacy of Jesus and sharing the
vision that God the Father has for each and every one of our lives. Our inheritance lies in these
words:

34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance,
the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and
you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' "
